Matteo MANTOVANI graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Ferrara and obtained his PhD in Earth Sciences at the University of Florence. His research focuses on remote sensing and radar interferometry and on the integration and development of techniques for monitoring unstable slopes. He has experience in the landslides risk assessment and in the management of hydrogeological emergencies. He actively participated in projects funded by the European Community and was Visiting Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology in Göteborg (Sweden) and at the Technische Universität of Braunschweig (Germany). He has carried out teaching activities in seminars and Master's courses for various italian and european universities. Since 2014 he is a researcher at the Research Institute for Geo-hydrogeological Protection of the National Research Council (IRPI-CNR).
