Omar F. AlThuwaynee’s has a MEng in Civil engineering and  PhD in GIS and Geomatics engineering applications, especially with research focuses on the modelling and observation of Natural and Anthropogenic hazards and risk assessment, as well as vulnerability of landuses. The aim of his research is to use the machine learning approaches with GIS/geospatial tools to gain a better understanding of geological and environmental processes. Dr AlThuwaynee is active in field-based measurement, process based and coupled geohazards and environmental modelling, spatial analysis and susceptibility mapping.
