Luca Schenato has been awarded the Best Poster Award 2016 in the category “Physical and Mechanical Sensors” at the 6th European Workshop on Optical Fibre Sensors (EWOFS 2016) for the article “Optical fiber load sensor based on a semi-auxetc structure: a proof of concept” by Luca Schenato (CNR-IRPI), Alessandro Pasuto (CNR-IRPI), Andrea Galtarossa (University of Padova) and Luca Palmieri (University of Padova).

EWOFS (http://ewofs2016.org/content/features-workshop) is the most important European conference on Optical fiber sensing technology. The Workshop philosophy promotes the discussion and interaction between the attendees. Looking for this aim, all contributed papers are presented as posters. Each poster session is preceded by invited oral presentations which deliver state-of-art views of the topic addressed in the session and after each poster session, the contributions are discussed and analyzed publicly.
