The Geohazard Monitoring Group of CNR IRPI (U.O.S of Turin) installed a new monitoring station for the control of the Planpincieux Glacier evolution. The Planpincieux glacier is one of the glaciers of the Italian side of Mont Blanc Massif.

The new experimental monitoring station acquires high-resolution images and is able to measure the ice mass changes and to analyze the relationship between glacier’s evolution and meteorological parameters.
