The purpose of this Memorandum is to establish and develop cooperation between the Parties in:

• scientific research;
• organisation of training programmes, symposia, conferences, short courses and meetings on research issues of mutuai interest;
• mobility of academic staff and researchers;
• mobility of students and doctoral candidates for academic activities to be recognized through a procedure jointly agreed by the Parties;
• exchange of information, resources, expertise, studies, methodologies;
• design and execute collaborative research and continuing education programs;
• co-operation in any other areas of interest of the Parties, as agreed to by the Parties.
