Curriculum Vitae

Tommaso Moramarco took his degree in Civil Hydraulic Engineering at the University of Bari, in February 1989. He got two-years of Scholarship of the National Research Council (NRC) in flooding risk assessment, at the Institute of Advanced Methodologies of Environmental Analysis in Potenza (Italy), from 1989 to 1991. He had several contracts with the University of Basilicata from 1991 to 1994 and he carried on an educational activity in Hydraulic Construction, advising students and co-directing thesis. From December 1994, he is a researcher of NRC and since November 1995 has been working at the Hydrology Section of the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection in Perugia.

Research Interest

His research activity mainly regards: 1) hydro-meteorological monitoring; 2) watershed hydrology; 3) hydrologic and hydraulic modeling; 4) discharge assessment at ungauged river sites; 5) river flood forecasting 6) hydraulic risk; 7) safety of dams; 6) Geographic Information Systems for flooding analysis. He is involved in several research projects on monitoring and forecasting of floods in the frame of Italian and European Programs.
