L'attività di ricerca ha come obiettivo principale la valutazione della pericolosità idraulica e riguarda principalmente le seguenti tematiche:

1) la generazione stocastica della pioggia spazialmente distribuita;

2) la stima della portata di progetto;

3) l'analisi degli effetti dei cambiamenti climatici sulla frequenza delle piene;

4) valutazione della vulnerabilità dei rilevati arginali.

Stefania Camici ha ricevuto la Laura Magistrale in Ingegneria per L’ambiente ed il Territorio presso l'Università di Perugia ad Aprile 2008. Da Ottobre 2008 collabora presso l'Istituto di Ricerca per la Protezione Idro-Geologica (IRPI) del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) di Perugia, avendo ricevuto dapprima una borsa di studio e successivamente un assegno di ricerca nell’ambito del progetto di ricerca scenari idrologici estremi ed effetti lungo il reticolo fluviale del Fiume Tevere. Dal Settembre 2012 è ricercatrice presso il CNR-IRPI.
