Luca Ciabatta was born in Perugia, Italy, in 1985. He took his M.S. degree in Geological Sciences and Technologies with excellence, from the University of Perugia, in May 2012. In February 2013 he received a Scholarship to carry research at the Research Institute of Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of the National Research Council (CNR) of Perugia under the topic: “Applied research, monitoring services and hydrological modeling for the estimation of the water content of the soil for the mitigation of geo-hydrological risk”. Since December 2014 he is a research fellow at the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection in Perugia. Since April 2018 he is a researcher at the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection in Perugia. In June 2018 he took his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering (with excellence) joinlty from the University of Florence and from the Vienna University of Technology.
