Visit of a Chinese delegation of the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of Padova
From September, 26 th to October, 11th, 2015 a delegation of the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment (IMHE) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), represented by Prof. Lijun SU, Prof. Xiaojung GUO, Dr. Yan YAN, Dr. Yang JIA, visited the Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) of Padova and two study sites located in South Tyrol (Northern Italy). The study visit was in the framework of of CNR – CAS bilateral project “Managing landslide and debris flow risks and increasing resilience through monitoring, modeling and land planning activities”. On October, 4th IRPI and IMHE researchers illustrated their activities during a bilateral workshop held in Padova. On October 5th, the delegation, visited the debris-flow monitoring site in the Gadria creek with Marco Cavalli and Stefano Crema, On October 6th, the subject of the visit was the Ganderberg landslide where Gianluca Marcato illustrated the monitoring activities carried out by IRPI.
