Vinicio Balducci is a Technical Officer at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR), working at the Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection (IRPI) in Perugia.

He is responsible for the design, management and development of ICT infrastructures and digital services supporting the institute’s scientific activities. His expertise includes Linux and Windows server administration, virtualization platforms, network infrastructure, open-source cloud services and web platforms for scientific data dissemination, including WebGIS and content management systems. He also has experience in managing digital communication services, including the institutional email system based on ‘Zimbra Open Source Edition’ and Mailing List Management systems based on ‘Mlmmj’.

He serves as Access Port Manager (APM) for the GARR network and technical manager of the ‘eduroam‘ service at the IRPI site in Perugia. He is also the Microsoft licensing contact and Data Protection contact (RP) for the institute.
