Global scale irrigation assessment through SM2RAIN

On February 1st, 2017, IRPI-CNR started a new project funded by the European Space Agency entitled “WACMOS-Irrigation”. The main purpose of the project is the investigation of the potential of satellite soil moisture data for estimating irrigation on a global scale, by exploiting the SM2RAIN algorithm developed by IRPI-CNR.
