CNR IRPI at the International Conference of Geomorphology 2026 in New Zealand
CNR IRPI is attending the International Conference of Geomorphology, taking place from 2 to 6 February in Christchurch, New Zealand, with the participation of four researchers presenting several contributions on key geomorphological topics.
Marco Cavalli will give a talk on Friday entitled “Development and application of a geomorphological approach to support debris-flow hazard zonation in alpine catchments”, carried out within the VALCON Project, funded by the Po River Basin Authority. He is also presenting a poster titled “Understanding sediment (dis)connectivity in Late Quaternary landscapes: A case study from the Alpine region”, in collaboration with the Department of Geosciences, University of Padua, and CNR IGG.
Stefano Crema is presenting a poster entitled “Scaling Roughness: Critical Reflections on its Role in Geomorphometric Connectivity Analyses”, within the framework of the PRIN 2022 Project MORPHEUS.
Matteo Mantovani will present the talk “Twenty years of research along the north-western coast of Malta: a holistic approach for the investigation of slow-moving landslides”.
Massimo Melillo is presenting a poster entitled “Landslide prediction using an ensemble of rainfall thresholds under data uncertainty”.
A great opportunity to share research, exchange ideas, and strengthen international collaboration in geomorphology!
