Within the URBANI and ACTIONS projects, investigated the effects of human pressure on pollinator ecosystems and developed geospatial indicators of ecosystem health; analyzed environmental spatial data using GIS, geomorphometric methods, an machine learning approaches.

Within the research project “URGERE – URban GEodiversity for a Resilient Environment”, developed GRASS GIS-based workflows to map and assess urban resilience in Italian cities, and produced a ranking of cities based on the derived indicators.

Research assistant [01/11/2020 – 31/01/2024]
As a part of my PhD study. I developed a spatial decision support system to assist policy makers in selecting optimal land management strategies for enhancing carbon sequestration through forest plantation activities (afforestation and agroforestry), while ensuring compliance with biodiversity regulations and EU and national policies. I also calculated CO₂ sequestration and performed monetary assessments based on government subsidies.
