CNR-IRPI researchers invited by the Geological Survey of India to the International Seminar in Jaipur

CNR-IRPI researchers Mauro Rossi, Maria Teresa Brunetti and Ivan Marchesini are attending, as invited participants of the Geological Survey of India (GSI), the International Seminar “Unearthing the Past, Shaping the Future – 175 Years of GSI”, held on 20–21 November 2025 at the Rajasthan International Centre in Jaipur, India.

During the event Mauro Rossi will deliver an invited talk titled “A framework for territorial landslide early warning systems”, presenting a structured approach to the design and implementation of territorial landslide early warning systems, with emphasis on modelling components and operational decision-making.

The seminar marks the 175th anniversary of the GSI and brings together scientific communities and institutional representatives engaged in geological research, including the development of advanced methods for natural hazard assessment and risk reduction. The programme includes plenary sessions, keynote lectures and eleven thematic tracks dedicated to technical exchange and international scientific dialogue.

The participation of the three researchers strengthens the role of CNR-IRPI in international scientific cooperation and contributes to the advancement of research on geo-hydrological hazards.
